Every car manufacturer has a logo and some have become more
famous than others. Most people, even if they don't recognise the actual model
of a car know the make by the car logo, which also may be known as a
"marquee". Chrysler's first logo was in 1925 and although it changed
over time, the original was bought back in 1994 when the company merged with
Daimler Benz in 1998 silver wings were added. The logo used by Buick came from
a coat of arm from the Buick family who were originally from Scotland. It has
two features, a Chevrolet bow tie logo and a fleur de lis. Bugatti has two
logos; EB (the "E" is is actually represented backward) and a simple
red oval shape with bold white letters of the name "Bugatti". Ferrari
first used the prancing horse as its logo on its racing cars in the 1920's with
GT models have a rectangular badge (GT stands for Gran Turismo or Grand
Tourer). Race team cars have a shield logo containing the letters
"SF". All cars, whatever the make or logo, cost good money and they
need looking after and protecting. Whether a car is garaged or not it's wise to
protect your car with a car cover. If your car is kept outdoors purchase a
heavier type of cover. Ever since the first car was invented we have had an
attachment and fascination with vehicles - the car badge or marque has become a
status symbol of itself. No matter which type of car you have you should
protect your investment with a car cover. A car cover protects your car from
the elements and also deters thieves.
Sports cars are very appealing and there are several
different companies that have built a reputation for building fast and stylish
sports cars. Usually, you can tell what type of car it is just by looking at
the logo on the vehicle. Below you find a brief description of some of the
popular sports car logo seen on vehicles today. The Ferrari logo features a
prancing horse or a cavallino rampante. This logo first appeared in the 1920's
on race cars built by Enzo Ferrari for Alfa Romeo. The GT models have a
rectangular badge and the cars used for the race team have a shield shaped logo
with the letters "SF" at the bottom. This logo appeared on the first
test care in 1919 a Bentley 3 ½ liter. The B on the badge is for Bentley and
the wings symbolize the speed of their cars. The Bugatti has two different
logos. Both of the logos are in reference to the founder Ettore Bugatti. The
Jaguar has two different hood ornaments. A car cover will keep you car cooler
in the summer and will protect the car's paint job from tree sap and bird
droppings. A custom car cover is a good investment to keep your vehicle in
prime condition.
